Overall Purpose of Job

As a member of the Facilities team, assisting the Building Fabrics Maintenance Supervisor with the delivery of the building fabrics maintenance service.  Provide an efficient and cost effective service in line with contract requirements. 

Main Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities

A primary function of the role will be to deliver building fabrics and maintenance responsibilities in line with GMP processes laid down by the client. ·       
Responsible for carrying out building & property maintenance tasks (planned & reactive), as well as a variety of building fabric works mainly within the sites.
Further tasks will include routine site checks, general property & building maintenance works, handyman related repairs including painting, carpentry and all round general internal maintenance.
You will be required to report on all maintenance issues to the building fabrics maintenance supervisor and, in turn the facilities team. ·       
To undertake site compliant GMP training and induction to the production and laboratory areas. Be responsible for reading all relevant SOP’s to carry out duties in GMP areas. ·       
To be fully compliant and signed off in GMP areas within two months of contract start date. ·       
Participate fully in the activities of the GVA Acuity Team within the service delivery scope and provision of that function. 
These functions may take place on an ad hoc basis such as building and fabric related maintenance issues, room arrangements, out of hour’s furniture moves/deliveries, distribution of stationery etc. ·       
To assist closing the helpdesks/PPM’S in the appropriate timeframe, to liaise with GVA Acuity Support Desk in the management and execution of daily tasks associated with fault reporting, job progress updates, job completion etc. ·       
To assist the Building Fabrics Maintenance Supervisor with building & fabric duties ·       
To ensure that Lonza and GVA Acuity internal standards and requirements are met with relevance to all maintenance duties particularly in regard to Health and Safety and Environmental issues ·       
To maintain a smart appearance and comply with the GVA Acuity and Lonza rules with regards to dress code/uniform. ·       
To respond quickly and effectively to any building and fabric related maintenance problems. ·       
To work on an out of hours call out rota as laid down by the Building Fabrics Maintenance Supervisor. To undertake any other reasonable task as directed.


Knowledge Requirements  

The Client’s Operation ·      
An understanding of the Client’s business, its functions and the role of the building ·      
A full understanding of and possess the ability to ensure the FM teams compliance of GMP processes within the clients production facility.  

Regulatory ·      
A sound understanding of the operation of the FM team and the effect of legislation on its performance / capability. ·      
An understanding of statutory obligations within the Client’s business e.g. Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, data protection, and security integrity.  

Technical ·      
An understanding of the Facilities Management discipline and a basic understanding of building processes.    

Office / IT Systems ·      
Competent user of Microsoft Office software, including, Word, Excel, and Outlook.   Skill Requirements Planning & Organisation ·
