Overall Purpose of Job

 

To assist in the delivery of day to day processes on various clients and be part of a cohesive and well balanced team within PMA Corporate Accounting.

 

Main Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities

 

  • To support the Finance Manager to ensure delivery of all reporting and services to clients to agreed deadlines.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals & prepayments for key Corporate Clients.
  • Production of bank compliance/covenant reporting and cash flow forecasting.
  • Preparing budget and forecasts. Analysing variances and providing commentary and explanations on those variances.
  • Undertake balance sheet reconciliations including bank reconciliations, VAT returns, Accounts Payable and Accounts receivable reconciliations.
  • Deliver additional ad hoc reports as required by the client & GVA surveyors.
  • Ensure accurate & timely database updates. i.e. regularly reviewing tenancy schedules.
  • Develop a full understanding of the QA, RICS and Clients procedures and processes adopted in the QA - training will be provided on this
  • Continual reviews of processes and systems to ensure that QA is being adhered to.
  • Occasionally attend with senior members of the team client review meetings.
  • Take responsibility for identified processes ensuring that they have taken place as per the PMA quarterly timetable.

Ideal for any individual with motivation to learn and develop any existing skills.  The selected candidate will have the following:

 

  • Experience in preparing accounts to PL and Balance Sheet stage
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Ability to deal with high volumes of work and prioritise accordingly
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level of IT knowledge including advanced knowledge of excel
  • Autonomy and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Good work ethic with an energetic approach
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute in a positive manner to the overall performance of the team
  • Flexibility and commitment to completing the task in hand
  • Enthusiasm to learn
  • Ideally newly fully qualified or part qualified
  • Confidence to deal with all levels of seniority
