Overall Purpose of Job

 

To assist in the delivery of day to day processes for various clients and contribute to a cohesive and well balanced team within PMA Real Estate Management Accounting.

 

Main Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities

 

  • Preparation of quarterly management accounts (including calculation of accruals & prepayments) for key Corporate Clients.
  • Assisting with the production of bank compliance/covenant reporting and cash flow forecasting.
  • Preparing budget and forecasts. Analysing and providing commentary on variances.
  • Completing various balance sheet reconciliations including VAT, Accounts Payable, Accounts receivable, Prepayments and Bank reconciliations.
  • Delivering additional ad-hoc reports as required by the client & GVA surveyors.
  • Responding to queries from statutory and tax auditors on a timely basis.
  • Ensuring accurate & timely database updates. E.g. regularly reviewing tenancy schedules.
  • Developing a full understanding of the QA, RICS and Clients procedures and processes adopted in the QA - training will be provided on this.
  • Continual reviews of processes and systems to ensure that QA is being adhered to.
  • Occasionally attend client review meetings with senior members of the team.
  • Take responsibility for identified processes ensuring that they have taken place as per the PMA quarterly timetable.
  • Proactively seeking out opportunities for control enhancement and process improvement.

  • Experience in preparing accounts to PL and Balance Sheet stage
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Ability to deal with high volumes of work and prioritise accordingly
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level of IT knowledge including advanced knowledge of excel
  • Autonomy and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Good work ethic with an energetic approach
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute in a positive manner to the overall performance of the team
  • Flexibility and commitment to completing the task in hand
  • Enthusiasm to learn
  • Ideally part qualified
  • Confidence to deal with all levels of seniority
