Overall Purpose of Job

 

To maximise profitability of the GVA business through the development of value propositions, marketing campaigns and strategic event programmes that match customer requirements and promote the products and consultancy solutions offered across the GVA organisation.

 

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

 

To work as part of the business development and marketing team, liaising with other members of the team as appropriate, to ensure that the firm's business and marketing strategy is rolled out regionally. To represent the   business development and communications team and provide advice and guidance on marketing related issues to all staff in the regional offices.

 

Main Duties & Key Requirements

 

Corporate

 

  • Contribute to the development and support the implementation of the corporate marketing strategy
  • Provide assistance, support and guidance in the preparation of corporate marketing literature (both internal and external) by direction of National Marketing Manager
  • Manage the internal Marketing Helpdesk function, providing support and guidance to the firm
  • Assisting the National Events team at corporate events
  • Provide regional support to key annual events in terms of marketing material, research and organisation under the direction of the National Marketing Manager
  • Ensure the corporate key messaging and marketing campaigns are effectively rolled out across the regional team

 

Regional

 

  • Support the national marketing manager in the planning and implementation of the regional marketing strategy for Liverpool, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle offices
  • Assist in the planning, control and evaluation of regional marketing budgets to support the delivery of the strategy
  • Production and proof reading of marketing material in the form of brochures, development maps, flyers, adverts, digital media banners and newsletters
  • Event coordination, management and support to regional events across these regions
  • Creation of email campaigns and newsletters using Concep to be sent to external clients
  • Liaise with administrators in the above offices to ensure they have all up to date marketing resources and tools from the central team
  • Coordination of photography partners and suppliers to support PR, events, marketing collateral and staff portraits
  • Daily use of project management system Asana to capture regional marketing activity and tasks
  • Ability to liaise with external suppliers for events, sponsorships and printing
  • Assist in monitoring of competitor activity and campaigns
  • Liaise with other members of the regional marketing team across the regions to ensure good working relationships and best practice
  • Use of social media such as Twitter and Linkedin to promote the business and latest news and research
  • Attend meetings as and when requested by the Regional Marketing Manager

 

Desired knowledge and skills

 

  • Experience in marketing or business development is essential
  • Rounded knowledge implementing and reporting on campaign activities through multiple channels
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to control and monitor budgets
  • Use of Salesforce or CRM systems advantageous
  • Experience writing for digital media and managing digital channel content advantageous
