Overall Purpose of Job


An exceptional and experienced Technical Support Analyst is required on a permanent basis in London. 37.5 hours per week.


Main Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities


  • Mainly working as a part of the London Region Operations Team of 5, supporting around 600 in two London offices.
  • Troubleshooting and solution finding general networked PC hardware, Smart Phones and application issues, installation, upgrades, data storage and security
  • Microsoft O/S and Office Application support
  • Also supporting MFDs (Konica Minolta)/Digital Cameras/some AV & inventory
  • Training will be provided to enable support of a variety of proprietary and in house developed applications & systems
  • Some server and networking will feature
  • Support of a Cisco VoIP phone system as well as BES12 MDM and Smart Phone devices
  • Mostly face-to-face contact with users is expected but there will be some use of telephone and remote control tools
  • Liaising with the firms Technical Help Desk and other team members throughout the UK.
  • Assisting as necessary with IT/Communications elements of office moves & changes.


Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience


  • A very high-level of communication skills is the key to this role, must be able to empathise with and relate to users of all levels. Must be enthusiastic and co-operative at all times
  • Able to handle pressure well whilst demonstrating a good sense of humour
  • A minimum of two years experience expected along with in depth proven working knowledge of technical support in Windows 7/8/10, MS Office 2010/13/16 including Outlook is essential.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills are a must.
  • Ability to ‘self-start’ as well as working as part of a team
  • Ability to assimilate knowledge very quickly.
  • A flexible approach to working hours and duties, evening/weekend working (all overtime paid) could feature from time to time.
  • On call for one week in 4 to cover emergency out of hours works.
  • Windows 2008R2/2012 Server, Microsoft Exchange 2010, Quest Active Roles TCP/IP experience would be useful.
  • A professional attitude and appearance with full business attire at all times.
