Overall Purpose of Job

Reporting to the Director of Shared Services with direct line management responsibility for, Head of Credit Control Public Sector, Head of Income, Head of Client Expenditure/AP, Customer Services Manager. To be a proactive member of the PMA Leadership team in contributing to the PMA and PMC business goals. To support the Director of Shared Services in ensuring the teams are reviewing, implementing and following best practise in all operations.

Main Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Drive improvement in Finance Shared Services to ensure best practice within the department and ensure a continuous improvement culture, including identifying and leading efficiency initiatives
To lead and support the managers of the teams to ensure delivery of all services within agreed budgets and to SLAs and agreed targets.
Ensure standardisation of processes and practices across the business units understanding and documenting specific business unit exceptions
Supporting all managers to establish improvement to processes and controls and driving the implementation of these improvements and delivery of improved quality and efficiencies.
Support shared services on- boarding and off- boarding process including liaison with third parties to ensure carried out in the most efficient and accurate method. Management through
Review and Analysis of the weekly PMA compliance review pack through heads meetings ensuring relevant actions taken.
To assist in the PMA Systems Effectiveness plan including assisting in the implementation of new core software platform and ensure support of the teams in delivery thereof. Ongoing review of all teams processes to ensure continuous evolvement with up to date practices across all areas.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Proven experience of leadership role in multi-disciplinary environment with excellent line management experience ·       
Previous experience managing and motivating a large team ·       
Part or Qualified Accountant (CIMA,ACCA, ACA) ·       
Experience of client monies accounting advantageous ·       
Advanced Microsoft office skills. ·       
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. ·       
Experience of working in a Shared Services environment Knowledge of current developments in Shared Services
