Overall Purpose of Job

We are looking for a management surveyor to join the shopping centre management team. Ideally they will have experience in the management of shopping centres and retail portfolios for property companies and institutions.    Whilst not essential, the successful individual must possess a genuine interest in retail property management and have an awareness of the potential challenges and opportunities presented.

Main Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities

The role includes:   ·       
Experience of setting and managing service charge budgets in a timely manner and as per RICS guidelines. ·       
Experience of day to day tenant liaison, dealing with tenant queries and formal landlord and tenant matters such as applications to assign, sub-let and alterations in a proactive and affective manner. ·       
Client reporting – to produce monthly/quarterly management reports and attend client meetings. ·       
Support various initiatives, such as community and sustainability. ·       
Contribute to developing additional fee income generator initiatives and identify further opportunities. ·       
Support the client in enhancing asset value. ·       
Ideally, but not essential, a knowledge of turnover rents and administration. ·        Identifying mall income and non-core income opportunities and increasing non-core income revenue. ·       
Retail minded. ·       
Liaising with Centre and General Managers and the wider shopping centre management teams on a regular basis. ·       
Monitoring income and managing credit control and meeting strict KPI’s in regard to collection of rents. ·       
Contribute to developing additional fee income opportunities within the PMC business

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Experience

RICS qualified, but not essential. ·       
Experience in the commercial property management sector. ·       
Identifying and pursuing fee generating opportunities and meeting fee targets. ·        Client facing experience. ·       
Excellent working knowledge of IT and experience of using property management accountancy databases.
