Overall Purpose of Job

 

GVA Corporate Solutions Team acts for occupiers in the office, industrial, retail and leisure markets, managing property portfolios for some of the UK’s leading companies. We combine experience and knowledge with innovation and creativity, handling national portfolios for a wide variety of clients.

 

We put clients first, and our aim is to achieve the highest quality of service in all aspects of property management ranging from day-to-day activities, risk management, financial control, and the development of asset enhancing initiatives and portfolio strategy with our clients.

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated chartered surveyor to join the team. Property management experience is essential and preferably with a proven track record of managing portfolios for corporate occupiers. 

 

Main Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities

 

  • The primary purpose of the role will be to join the Corporate Solutions team working with high profile clients who require premium levels of service
  • Client reporting – to produce ad-hoc reports and attend client meetings.
  • Recognising opportunities to generate value within a diverse Portfolio and having the drive to maximise the values.
  • Identifying and managing risk (operational, financial and reputational)
  • Representing the client with landlord liaison and dealing with formal landlord and tenant matters such licences to alter, wayleaves, applications to assign, sub-let or carry out alterations
  • Liaising with FM teams on day-to-day maintenance, repair and operational issues.
  • Assisting in the management of a sub-let portfolio to deliver increasing returns.
  • Ad-hoc Inspections
  • Setting up new properties and maintaining a property database

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience

 

  • RICS Qualified
  • High degree of commerciality and experience of business development with existing clients
  • Experience within a professional services environment and working with blue-chip companies
  • Excellent communication and client facing skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • High attention to detail
  • A ‘can do’ attitude
