Overall Purpose of Job

The purpose of this role is to attract and retain high calibre graduates, manage the professional qualifications programme and maintain r GVA’s position as an employer of choice for graduates. 
Working with HR Business Partners/ Business Unit Heads and resourcing managers you will be responsible for the selection process, including selection of candidates for assessment, managing the offer process, and on-boarding of Graduates.  
You will be the main point of contact for all Graduates.  
Through effective marketing and recruitment campaigns, including social media/networking tools you will maintain GVA’s position as an employer of choice for graduates.   
You will maintain and develop relationships  with key contacts in universities, professional institutions (RICS/RTPI), external tutors/assessors, HR Business Partners/HR Advisors, the Learning and Development team, the wider recruitment team  and line managers .  
You will continually review and improve the graduate recruitment, on-boarding and professional qualification processes ensuring the requirements of all internal and external customers are met.  
You will also be responsible for managing Apprentices and work experience programmes including Summer Placements and Year out for the company.

Main Duties, Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Manage the Graduate Recruitment cycle through:        
Working with the HR Business Support Manager, HR Business Partners and the business to establish graduate recruitment requirements.     
Working with the marketing team to launch the annual graduate campaign – including web design, advertising and university events.       
Actively advertise Graduate opportunities within GVA on the intranet/internet, publications, and social networking tools .    
Manage the ATS (Havas People/Engage, to continuously improve the application process.   
Building relationships with target universities.     
Managing the screening and short listing process.       
Preparation of recruitment and selection material.      
Develop and facilitate assessment centres and interview processes        
Co-ordinate and administer the work placement programme (include summer placements and year-out placements).  
Working alongside key stakeholders to improve the recruitment and professional qualifications processes.

This will lead to projects in a number of areas as below, which you will be expected to project manage to conclusion:    
The graduate application process     
The graduate selection process    
The graduate assessment process     
Graduate rotations (every 6 months)
Support for professional qualifications for graduates and the wider business ·       
Graduate funding Future business needs for graduates, work placements and apprenticeships.
On-going review of all graduate policies and procedures, including agreements and contracts of employment.  
Delivery of appropriate support, primarily for our graduates, to enable them to succeed in their professional qualifications.

This includes:
Building relationships with the professional institutes (RICS, RTPI) to ensure we maximise the support they can provide us with.    
Liaising with our external tutors and assessors to ensure that their support is appropriate and cost effective.
Liaising with our Training Manager to ensure a cohesive approach to graduate development (e.g. Graduate Induction, skills training, CPD).  
Organising the graduate rotation programme.  
In addition to the duties listed above, the successful candidate may be required to carry out other duties as reasonably required.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Excellent organisational, project management and administrative skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Excellent IT skills and knowledge of social media sites (Outlook, Excel, Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin).     
Presentable with good presentation skills.
Ability to build good business relationships. 
Strong communication skills, comfortable communicating at all levels.     
Ability to cope under pressure with changing priorities.    
Ownership of tasks and on-going review of all schemes to ensure they remain fit for purpose.
Knowledge of employment legislation relevant to recruitment. ·       
Awareness of effective selection methods and processes.        
Graduate recruitment experience desirable.    
Travel within the UK essential – some overnight stay may be necessary.
