Overall Purpose of Job

 

This role is responsible for applying business analysis to support management and operational teams in driving a culture of continuous improvement to internal systems and processes. The role will include an element of project management supporting both new and existing projects.

 

The Business Analyst is responsible for working proactively with both the operational and IT Systems teams to manage change across the operations. The current programme of change is designed to implement and enforce controls and efficiencies into BAU operations.

 

Initially the role involves analysing business requirements for implementing workflow and performance reporting tools, specifying and building the required platform and being responsible for ongoing maintenance. After implementation the role will become client facing with a direct liaison role and responsibility for ensuring all KPIs are met and reported correctly.

 

Reporting to the MBNL Contract Manager, the role also supports the team and the Head of Performance (HOP) in ensuring that GVA teams are reporting and managing performance and reviewing, implementing and following best practise in all operations.

 

Main Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities

 

General

  • Ensuring that personal behaviours adhere to and encourage the values of GVA

 

MBNL Team

  • To be a proactive member of the MBNL Team in contributing to the MBNL business goals
  • To assist with the planning, organising and management of the operations of the MBNL team
  • To support the MBNL Contract Manager
  • To champion continuous improvement

 

Continuous Improvement and Controls

  • To support internal audits across the team and establish improvements to processes and controls
  • To assist the MBNL Contract Manager in ensuring that processes and controls are being adhered and documentation updated to support audits and compliance reviews

 

Data and Systems Analysis

  • Input into business projects planning and deliverables and promote change
  • To work closely with IT and data teams to manage the data and systems / tools

 

Performance Reporting

  • To assist the MBNL Contract Manager in ensuring the reporting of all Internal Control matters are completed in an accurate and timely manner (including risk registers)
  • To ensure timely development and production of all KPIs including the preparation of operational and strategic dashboards on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Automation of the production of performance reports, KPIs and dashboards.
  • Development of KPIs and Dashboards to anticipate and meet business requirements

Essential

  • Analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment where team members may not be co-located
  • Manage the delivery from others and self-confidence to build good working relationships with other teams
  • Able to act as the liaison between IT and the business to provide solutions required to expedite business processes
  • Advanced level Microsoft Office with exceptional Excel skills
